Drupal Gardens

Drupal is a content management system for making websites. This website is built on Drupal. You can make your own website based on Drupal at Drupal Gardens. Take a look at the samplers to see what others have done with Drupal. I find the Drupal Gardens set-up better than that of Google sites but I may be biased as I am used to working with the Drupal system.

Puppy Linux

For some time now it has been possible to run a computer off a CD or USB stick instead of the hard drive built into the computer. So how about taking your own computer setup with you on a USB stick and then at work or at your friend's place just plug in your USB stick and run your setup instead of what is on the computer you happen to be sitting at? If all you need is a web browser and some room for storing a few files then you can do it now.

If you move around from computer to computer and normally find you are connected to the internet maybe you could do all your computer work via a web browser. Google Apps gives you things like email, online document creation and sharing and space for websites. Of course you can use gmail for free but apps gives you more control. It costs $US50 per email account per year. It could even prove to be a good place to keep your website.
